a death bloom occurs when a plant dies after it has bloomed and produced seeds. nella’s ability to transform into a plant / deity hybrid, (giving her powers such as plant mimicry and manipulation, chlorokinetic Illusions, as well as enhanced senses and strength), is not used often for two main reasons.one it is extremely draining, often rendering her paralyzed for hours on end as she physically recovers. two every time she uses her plant based powers, a life is taken.she cannot transform into her alt. appearance at will ( it’s usually spurred on by intense feelings, such as rage, fear, manic episodes, panic attacks, etc) . the transformation is extremely draining and could be fatal to those around her as the spores produced can trigger intense reactions (anaphylaxis, eye irritation/loss of vision and, temporary paralysis) .
